In our introduction to the class, I will demonstrate how to build a puzzle of the world which you will receive as printable PDF. We will look at each continent and students can mark off the places Alex and Steve visit in their journey across the world. We will also create pixel art passport photos for Steve and Alex to take on their adventure! Each week, students will complete the videos and activities as they learn about the country Steve and Alex are visiting. Students will learn fun facts and useful information about the mystery country including the flag, language, landmarks, cuisine, and currency. After I share a Minecraft build that illustrates some of the landmarks or features of each location, students will be challenged to make their own. At the end of the week, students will take a simple quiz about the mystery country, share their Minecraft build for that place and have a chance to make their guess about where Steve and Alex are. I will give feedback on each student's Minecraft build. The countries Steve and Alex will visit are kept a surprise until the end of the week so that students can try and figure it out with the daily clues they are given. Can you figure out where Steve and Alex have traveled? Come explore some fun new places with them! Because this is a self paced class, we will NOT have live meetings. But, we WILL have videos, printables, projects, discussions and more fun to enjoy together as we search the globe trying to locate Steve and Alex! I am an energetic and silly teacher who enjoys making learning hands on and fun for my students!
