This musical theater conservatory experience is intended for those students who are serious about refining their skills as a musical theater performing artist. This course is only available to those select students I invite and is highly competitive. You must complete Semester 1 as a prerequisite and be invited to enroll in Semester 2 to be eligible. - Students will further learn healthy vocal technique as a singer and an actor, be exposed to specific acting techniques (such as Stanislavsky, Chekhov, Method, Meisner and Uta Hagan) and learn Broadway Choreography from “Chicago”, “West Side Story” and “A Chorus Line”. There will be lectures and Q&A’s devoted to audition prep and the business side of pursuing MT as a career. There will be opportunities to create choreography and workshop audition material.
I have 15 years of professional experience as a stage performer. I have performed all over the country and on Broadway. I attained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from the University of Florida. This program provided intensive dance training which has prepared me in leading a safe dance environment. I also received my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Certification from One Yoga in Kho Pha-ngan, Thailand. Yoga has always been a huge benefit to me as a performer, which is why I choose to incorporate it as a physical warm up.
