Welcome to Multiplication Mayhem! 🥳

Learning your multiplication facts needs a little MAYHEM! Learning your facts should be loud, fun, energetic and exciting! And that is exactly what we will do in Multiplication Mayhem!

In this interactive and energetic 4 day class, students will learn the multiplication fact families 0-12. We will work to build their math confidence and bring a smile to their face! All while building speed and accuracy!



⏰ This class will teach students how to use memory strategies and games to learn multiplication facts. We will work with all fact families 0-12. My goal is to have your child be able to have quick recall of most of their facts by the end of the four days.  I have been teaching children their multiplication facts for over 20 years! By now, I have a few tricks up my sleeve, and I can't wait to share them with your child! I will use strategies that I honed while in the classroom to improve your child's automaticity (speed and accuracy) of their multiplication facts. Your children will be interacting with me directly for the majority of each class time as I teach them memory games such as Vanish and Build a Stack. Students will keep a record of how many facts they learn each day so they can share their progress with you!


🎯 Class Expectations:
Students should be kind and courteous to one another. Students should be supportive and encouraging. Fun, laughter, and energy are always wanted and encouraged, but it should remain focused on our class content. Please come to class prepared with the Hundreds chart printed out from the class packet and a great attitude!

📚 Course Objectives:

💥 Improve accuracy in solving multiplication facts from 0-12.

💥 Increase speed in recalling multiplication facts.

💥 Build confidence in math fact abilities.

💥 I will not spend time on the concept of multiplication. This is strictly a fact recall class.


🌞 Prerequisites:
✅ Students should know their basic addition facts up to 12+12.

✅ Students should have been introduced to the concept of multiplication. Such as, they understand that 3x2 is three groups of 2, or repeated addition of 3+3.

✅ I do NOT expect students to already know any of their facts. 


⭐️ Progress:
I will offer a pre-test and post-test during on the first and last day of class so that your child can show off their amazing progress!

🐶 My Classroom and Teaching Style:

My goal is to make learning as happy 🥳 and stress-free as possible! My classroom is fast paced and interactive. It is a kind, caring, supportive, productive, silly, and just a little bit crazy kind of space! I want students to love class and enjoy showing up to learn with me. Students can only learn when they feel comfortable and safe! I provide that environment for my students, then watch as their learning soars! I will meet each student where he or she is and move them forward. 

🎓 My Background and Qualifications:

Hi! I'm Kimberly Baust. The kids usually call me Mrs. B! I am looking forward to getting to know you and your child. 
I have a:
⭐️ B.S. and Masters degree in Elementary Education.
⭐️ Taught in the classroom for over 25 years! 
⭐️ Taught in grades 3-6 during the school day
⭐️ Worked with students from K-12 after school and in the summers
⭐️ Taught in public school
⭐️ Majority of my years in the classroom were in elite private schools. 
⭐️ Have been certified to teach grades K-6 in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Virginia! 

Teaching is my calling and my passion. I love to teach children and help them reach their full potential. I look forward to working with your child and getting to know them!
