Welcome to my Teacher Lisa's classroom! Learners should be ready to have fun while practicing the basics of double-digit multiplication and division. We will learn by instruction and hands-on activities. Learners will show their work/ideas by solving problems either on a whiteboard or worksheet. They will have the opportunity to show their learning to their classmates and teacher. We will begin the class with an introduction of ourselves. I will then move into a brief discussion of what...
Goals For This Summer Camp Course:
*How to multiply 2 digits by 1 digit
*How to multiply 2 digits by 2 digits
*How to multiply 3 digits by 2 digits (if time allows)
*Different strategies to solve the problem -- long multiplication/division, the box and lattice
methods
*Solve by Regrouping
*How to divide 2-digit numbers
*How to solve problems mentally and with a variety of strategiesPlease ensure that your child comes to class with a notebook, pencil/eraser and a colored pen for editing work. They may also use a small whiteboard with a variety of colored markers. I will provide a multiplication chart that the learner can download before class if needed.
