課堂經歷
The course will give individualized instruction in piano. Topics covered include: Keyboard orientation- learning names of keys Rhythm- quarter , half and whole note counting. More advanced students learn eighth notes and sixteenth notes Theory- learning notes on the staff, intervals, chords, and more Technique- proper posture and hand position. A 30 minute lesson would include a portion from all these topics, gradually increasing in knowledge and ability. Class is interactive with questions and answers, demonstrations and worksheets. I teach with a relaxed, fun style with much encouragement. No previous knowledge required though intermediate students also accepted. Piano adventures books are used, although songs requests are always welcomed. Students learn better when they play songs they enjoyl

My name is Sara. I teach piano, all ages and styles. I have taught piano for over 25 years, both in-person and online. I make the lessons fun and educational. My goal is for students is to enjoy music and playing the piano as a lifelong activity. Learning to play an instrument also teaches patience, perseverence and builds confidence.
