This class will put the summer fun into reading and writing. The first week the teacher will read Saffy’s Angel aloud in class so the students can experience it at the same time and speed. Following the daily reading we will have a fun, but critical discussion of theme, plot development, and character development. The second week we will write an essay on the book together in class. The teacher will lead the class in giving input and together we will build an essay on the book. As a group...
Students will learn how to see a good book as more than just entertaining. Students will have fun building an essay together and gain a unique inside out view of essay writing.
