For students to take notes from a story. For students to create an outline for a story. For students to practice retelling story from the KWO. For students to write a one paragraph essay from an outline. For students to learn IEW stylistic techniques and apply to a story. 

IEW Accredited Instructor. My experience with IEW expands over twenty-five years of teaching the curriculum in co-ops, my home, and privately to students.  Above all, I have attended IEW seminars in person and online. Most important, I have an MA in Instructional Design and Corporate Training.

The student will be required to create an outline from a story, retell the story from the outline, write a rough draft, and complete a final typed paper of the story.  Stories will be read, outlined, and rewritten with stylistic techniques. Amount of time spent writing and rewriting a story will depend on the student. However, I estimate 2-4 hours a week working on a story.

The student will submit their final typed story to the teacher each week by email. The teacher will review the story and discuss it with the student verbally and/or with written comments. Students must have access to a word processing program such as Word or Google Docs.
