Move-In Phonics With Teacher Cindy is a 12 week, 1:1 phonics program that uses movement and rhyme to help students better understand the connection between letters and letter sounds such as r-controlled vowels and consonants and digraph trigraphs, and diphthongs. This program will give your child the necessary skills to read words that are not easily decodable. Topics that we will focus on include: Lesson 1: Short vowel sounds (a,e,i,o,u) and consonant letter sounds (Students should have a good understanding of this already.) Lesson 2: Long vowel sounds (a_e, e_e, i_e, o_e, u_e) (Students should have a good understanding of this already.) I highly advise that students are in a safe environment free of potential hazards for this lesson. They will need an open workout space, proper footwear or barefoot on carpet, a water bottle and adequate stretching as we will be doing some movement activities throughout this lesson.
