In this one times class we will read stories like "Are You My Mother?" by P.D. Eastman and "Owl Babies" by Martin Waddell, learn some animal names and use the provided printables to complete an animal matching activity and create a "Hoo Loves Mom?" picture for Mother's Day! Little learners can build great listening, observation and creative thinking skills during storytime, asking questions and using their imagination. Students will strengthen literacy and listening skills, prediction, problem solving and observation skills when we read stories together and will practice fine motor skills and work on identification of relationships and similarity and difference as we complete an animal match project and create an owl themed picture for Mother's Day with the printables that are included for enrolled learners.

(Directions are included for each of the activities.) No printer? No problem. The animals match activity can be shared on screen and the pieces for the owl picture can be drawn from the included pdf. * If the Owl picture cannot be completed during class, learners can work on it post class too!
Because of the age of the class I recommend a grown up be within "ear-shot" to help with any technical hiccups (mic and video) that might come up.
