Welcome to our Montessori inspired virtual classroom where we learn life skills and age appropriate curriculum together while having fun. The Friendship Haven classroom is positive, welcoming and social. Lessons will always be hands-on and interactive. Learners can join or cancel at any time throughout the course. Extension activities will be provided to enhance your child's learning experience. 

Before enrolling in this class learners should have prior knowledge of all letters and their formation. They should also be familiar with numbers 1-10. 

Each week we focus on a specific outcome. We focus on a specific outcome each month to encourage knowledge retention but learners can join at anytime throughout the month. 

Week of September 20: Numbers to 100
Week of September 27:  Numbers to 100
Week of October 4: Understanding of Numbers to 20
Week of October 10: Understanding of Numbers to 20
Week of October 17: Understanding of Numbers to 20
Week of October 25: Understanding of Numbers to 20
Week of November 1: Place Value
Week of November 8: Place Value
Week of November 15: Place Value
Week of November 22: Place Value

We will use hands on Montessori manipulatives. Materials will be listed for each week. You may either purchase Montessori manipulatives online or prepare listed alternatives, some printable items will be provided as an alternative.  Each lesson will include mental math, lesson of the day and games to enhance learning. Sometimes we will read a story related to the outcome. 

At Friendship Haven, our goal is for your child to gain the skills required for a lifetime of self-guided learning. As they show interest in different things around them, we will guide their curiosity with fun education.  It is very important to me that your child feels supported and represented in our classes. At the beginning of our time together I will be emailing you an about me sheet. This sheet will help me learn about each student. I look forward to meeting you!
