In this multi day class, the various parts functions and lifecycle of a plant will be explored through a variety of hands-on , student centered activities. Learners should have some basic pre-reading skills and beginning independent writing ability. Session 1, May 12- students will discover what a plant is and learn about the major types. Students will improve their understanding of the parts, life cycle, functions and needs of plants through instruction, hands on projects, and writing activities.

No formal homework will be assigned, but learners are strongly encouraged to complete follow up work if it was not finished in class. Learners will be completing projects individually. Follow up work will not be lengthy due to the age of students.0 - 1 每週課外時間

Pencils, colored pencils/crayons/markers, scissors, Play-Doh, construction paper may be needed for projects. Although not required, students who have permission to grow a plant will need seeds, soil, a small container or cup, and access to water. Various teacher made worksheets should be printed for learners to complete.
