莫阿娜 - 故事、手工藝品和活動 (Flex)

Welcome to Montanui!

In this 4 week flex class, students will learn all about the adventures of the popular 'Moana'. Together, we will learn about Moana's story of finding and restoring the Heart of Tafiti to save her village! Each Monday, I will post a video that will include a Moana story time for the week and an overview of the week's assignments. Students will also be shown demonstrations for the activities and crafts they will be completing. Students will have assignments throughout the week that may include uploading a picture or video, and (with the help of a parent) interacting with the teacher and other students through classroom discussions. We will have fun learning through stories, trivia, matching games and crafts! This is a flex class, which means that there will be no live lessons. In order for your child to enjoy this camp at its fullest, participation in weekly activities is very important. As students participate, they will receive encouragement and fun rewards through video and picture uploads from the teacher. Once you have signed up for the course, you will receive a calendar with important dates, such as assignment due dates and class content uploads. 

Weekly topics and assignments:

Week 1- 
Assignments: Introduce yourself and tell the class who your favorite character from Moana is. Comment on another student's post that chose the same character and discuss why you like that character the most! Post your comprehension question answers for this week’s story on the classroom discussion. Complete the "Shiny" scavenger hunt! Post a picture of all of the things you found and tell us how many there are. Comment on one other student’s picture with your favorite shiny object they found’ Complete craft and submit a picture. Comment on another student's work with one thing you like about it.
Week 2- 
Assignments: Post your comprehension question answers for this week’s story on the classroom discussion. Also include in the class discussion one thing you would like to do if you went on an adventure with Moana. Comment on at least one other student's post.  Print and complete the matching activity, then upload a picture of your finished product. Complete craft and submit a picture. Comment on another student's work with one thing you like about it.
Week 3- 
Assignments- Answer the comprehension questions from this week's story on the classroom discussion. Given the lyrics, post a video singing the right words to the song you are assigned! Complete craft and submit a picture. Comment on another student's work with one thing you like about it.
Week 4- 
Assignments- Post your comprehension question answers for this week’s story on the classroom discussion. Tell us your favorite part of the story of ‘Moana’. Students should respond to at least one other student's comment to discuss the story. Answer the ‘Moana’ movie trivia questions and check your answers once they are posted. Let us know how many points you scored! Complete craft and submit a picture. Comment on another student's work with one thing you like about it.
