Are you a fan of Minecraft, the popular sandbox video game developed by Mojang Studios? Do you want to develop your social skills while interacting with fellow Minecraft fans?

Minecraft Social Club is an ongoing 30-minute class that allows fans of the game between the ages of 6 and 11 to meet and discuss Minecraft.

Students can discuss any aspect of the game. The teacher will lead the discussion by asking questions to keep each session focused. Students can share tips with each other.

Some possible discussion topics include, but are not limited to, the following:

(1) What is your favorite biome?
(2) What is your favorite mode?
(3) Explain your skin design.
(4) Share a build you have created.
(5) Share an adventure you have had.
(6) What is your least favorite mob?
(7) What is your favorite material?

The teacher and students will work together to decide each weekly topic. The topics are not set in stone (Minecraft pun intended).

Students will NOT be playing the game during the class but can share screenshots that are relevant to the discussion in the classroom.

All students will be given many opportunities to interact with other students during each session.
