During this class, students will learn the basic functions of Microsoft Excel and get hands-on practice. We will begin by discussing real-world uses for Excel and related vocabulary. We will then dive in and begin using the program. This class will not only teach the basics of Excel, but it will excite students to discover ways they can use Excel in their everyday lives. Students will learn the basic functions of Microsoft Excel and get hands-on practice. At the end of the class, students will be able to name parts of an Excel worksheet, input information into cells, format cells, use the sum function, input a multiplication formula, sort, filter, and create graphs.
I have virtually tutored over 1,000 young learners, but prior to that I enjoyed a thirteen-year corporate career, where I used Excel to make my work more efficient and effective on a daily basis. I hold a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration.
Students should have Microsoft Excel on their computer prior to starting class, so they can use the program and follow along as I teach the class.
