In this class, students will learn math facts and mental strategies that they can apply to solve problems in their head. Students who can use mental math strategies can improve their overall number sense and solve addition and subtraction problems with greater ease. I am currently employed as a Math Interventionist in a primary school. I have been a teacher for 10 years. I am certified to teach Prekindergarten through Primary PK-3, Elementary Education K-5, Exceptional Student Education (Special Education) K-12, Mathematics Grades 5-9, and I am also reading endorsed. I love math and bringing anything fun and creative into my teaching processes.
In order to get the most out of this class, students who enroll should know how to count forward from 0-20 and backwards from 10-0.
