Who is this class for?
This 1 to 1 tutoring is for students who would like to become more confident mathematicians or who would like to be challenged to master maths topics. Students should be in years 2-9 (I have taught all these year groups in a school setting and tutored students in years 2, 9 and many years in-between). 

What will be covered?
The subject/s covered can be directed by the student/ parents or I can assess the students and design classes for their needs. 

Possible focus topics:

Lower Primary: place value, mental methods for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, written methods for addition and subtraction, fractions

Upper Primary: arithmetic (mental and written), fractions, decimals, percentages, basic algebra, reasoning skills, preparation for SATs for 11 plus

Secondary: number (fractions, decimals, percentages), algebra, graphs, geometry, statistics, probability

How will the class be structured/ taught?
This class will be taught using the UK National Curriculum in mind. The aim will to build the students confidence or stretch the student depending on need.
