The goal of this class is to teach and reinforce early math concepts to help prepare them for 2nd grade and beyond. To do this, we will use songs and games. One minute the children might be singing, the next minute they might be talking about measurements and, the next, they learning about and practicing multiplication. The more fun and entertaining learning is, the more that kids retain and, even more importantly, the more they develop a love for learning that will last their whole lives.
Some of the concepts that we will be learning about are:
• Numbers 1 to 1000
• Addition and Subtraction
• Length
• Weight

Hi there! My name is Mr. Mike and I'm an Early Childhood Educator. What does that mean, specifically? I have my Bachelor's in Psychology, my Master's in Early Childhood Education and Special Education, and my Teaching Certifications in both Students with Disabilities and Early Childhood Education (birth-grade 2). The special education components of my background have uniquely shaped my philosophy of education in that I truly believe that every single child is a unique individual, with their own specific needs and learning style. My training has taught me how to incorporate all of those kiddos' different needs into one cohesive fun and successful learning experience!
My teaching background includes teaching full classrooms, smalls groups, and individual tutoring in person. It also includes online teaching through both live classes (which I have been doing for over 3 years) and pre-recorded videos (which I have been doing for even longer).
In addition to teaching, I am also a children's entertainer. I have recorded children's music albums and have performed live at preschools, libraries, birthday parties, and festivals. I'm also in the process of working on my first picture book.
