This one time March themed class will challenge students to solve a variety of math problems, using an escape room format. Students will work together to find all of the shamrocks and gather the leprechauns before St. Patrick's Day. They must find all of the shamrocks and decode the riddle in 30 minutes. Math problems are at second and third grade level and involve a variety of concepts, including addition, subtraction, simple multiplication, data, time, and simple fractions. Students will be encouraged to interact with peers to solve the problems; teacher will ask guiding questions and offer possible strategies if the group is stuck.
