A fun interactive story will guide learners through an escape room each week. Learners will take turns answering math questions in order to make it to the next level of the game. Kindergarten and 1st grade math questions consist of a large variety of topics such as: patterns, addition/subtraction, memory games, keeping track of money and spending, skip counting, shapes, colors, polygons and more. For the digital escape rooms, I will screen share hand crafted Google Slides. Learners will tell me the answer they choose and I will click on the answer for them. If correct, it will direct them to the next part of the game. If incorrect, it will send them to a slide where a dinosaur will most likely be trying to get them but also provide a clue in order to try again. After class, I will provide a link for a team Kahoot reading comprehension game. The Kahoot quiz is an optional game where no account or personal information is required to play. This is an ongoing class where learners can add and drop as their schedule allows.
