課堂經歷
In this ongoing class, students will practice multiplication tables while having fun playing learning games with a Minecraft theme each week! Students will compete in Kahoot quizzes, whiteboard races, speed challenges, BINGO and other fun games. All questions will be Minecraft themed and will cover multiplication tables 0-12. This class is perfect for learners who love Minecraft and need extra practice with multiplication tables. Each week we will begin with a speed challenge to get our brains going. I will display the speed challenge on the screen, but also post the challenge in our classroom the Sunday before class. Your child may print a copy (but don't peek until our challenge starts!) or have a piece of notebook paper to write the answers down during the challenge. We will then play a Kahoot! quiz, whiteboard challenge, or group challenge for the rest of class time to continue to practice multiplication skills. Your child will need a separate device with either the Kahoot! app or access to the Kahoot! website. We will also utilize a small whiteboard or chalk board. We will occasionally play Minecraft Multiplication BINGO! I will send your child's BINGO card through Outschool the Sunday before class for you to print. Your child will need mini erasers, dry beans, coins, or some sort of cover up item for the game. To encourage camaraderie among Math Club members, I will occasionally ask Minecraft related questions for members to share their thoughts and experiences with one another. *Please note: Learners will not need any prior knowledge of Minecraft to enjoy this class. We will not be playing the actual Minecraft game, rather practicing multiplication skills with a Minecraft theme.

Hello! I am a preschool teacher and mom of 2! I have a tween daughter and a son in high school. I love designing classes to help facilitate the socialization our kiddos are missing out on during this time. I also have a passion for teaching teenagers how to build a successful babysitting business! I started my babysitting business at the age of 11, and kept it thriving until I graduated from college! I want to share my secrets for gaining the respect of parents and love from the kiddos so your teenager will be asked to babysit again and again! I have a BS in Physical Education and I am a preschool teacher with a lively class of 4-year olds! I am constantly amazed at their ability to soak in information at this age. I love watching my students transform from shy and skeptical to exuding confidence and a love for school. I believe students who enter Kindergarten with a solid foundation will thrive and have an advantage when it comes to learning new skills.
I value learning through hands-on and collaborative experiences. I believe learning should be fun and engaging to encourage a lifetime love of learning! I love to hike, kayak, fish, and spend every moment possible at the beach!
