In this 45-minute ongoing course, students will have the opportunity to not only practice upon the foundations of middle school mathematics, but also explore topics in algebra, geometry, and higher-level math before entering high school! Each week, will cover a different math topic, based on student and parent feedback. 

My 45-minute Course Structure:
0:00 - Introductions, Get-To-Know-You Game
0:05 - Middle School Math Review Game (Kahoot! or Jeopardy, for example)
0:20 - Introduce High School Math Topic (teacher-led)
0:30 - Dry-Erase Board Skill Practice (group)
0:40 - Application Discussion (teacher poses discussion question to group)
0:45 - Farewells 

The focus of this course emphasizes current math skill mastery, assessing gaps in student knowledge, and facilitating student discussion and exploration.

This course assumes student placement at the middle school level, with mastery of elementary-level mathematics at minimum. Each student should come prepared with:
- Dry-Erase Board/Marker
- Pencil/Paper, or Notebook (especially for on-going attendees)
- Calculator (basic functioning is acceptable; if we discuss topics in trigonometry, TI-84 and above is recommended)

Teacher's Note:
A primary component of this course relies on student discussion with peers about topics in math; therefore, sections of the course with less than 2 students will be cancelled. In the event of cancellation, parents will be contacted and referred to other sections of the course.
