馬丁路德金虛擬實地考察 - 孟菲斯（洛林汽車旅館、公園等）

This unique class is a virtual field trip.  In order to save time, the visit to the sights are pre-recorded by the teacher.  I have gone to the sights specifically for the class and recorded the clips.  The class as a whole is live with the video woven into live conversation during class.  The class is set up with a video from the teacher on location on the site.  Then we will have a discussion and the teacher will answer questions.

There are three stops on our field trip.

1. The Lorraine Motel- Students will see where MLK was standing when he was shot and the building and window they believe the shooter was in.  At this stop, we will talk about the National Civil Rights Museum (which the motel is now a part of) and the reason why Martin Luther King was in Memphis at the time.

2. I Am A Man Plaza and Clayborn Temple-   This plaza shows the timeline for the sanitation strike and is a memorial to the sanitation workers who were on strike in 1968.  The temple was a key rallying point for the strike.

3. Mason Temple- This is where MLK gave his famous "Mountaintop" speech.  This was his last appearance.  This was an important place during the civil rights movement!

All filming is done from OUTSIDE of the buildings to respect the rules of the stops and the seriousness and respect deserved.

We will discuss 
** Why MLK was in Memphis.
** What a strike is.
** What caused the strike.
** The timeline of the sanitation strike.
** Why MLK wanted to support the sanitation workers.
** Other aspects of the civil rights movement as it pertains to MLK being in Memphis.
