This course is the first of a two-part course. It is a modified version of a Science Elective course offered to high school and accelerated middle school students that I taught in NY. This first semester starts with the early exploration of the oceans, followed by the physical properties of the oceans and the surrounding habitats, ending with current technologies used to study the oceans.
