In this class, students will learn about specific species of fish in Earth's oceans and some of their unique adaptations. In addition to each fish being studied, a related oceanographic or biological concept will be discussed. The class will be taught with a guided presentation for the majority of the class session. At the end of the class, a video of the fish in the wild will be shown and there will be time for discussion and questions. There is a set number of topics that will be taught over the period of several weeks, and once all the topics have been covered, more topics may be added and/or the list of topics will repeat. No experience or prior knowledge is needed for this class. The topics that will be taught are as follows (note that this list may be subject to some change):
