In this 2 part class series, you'll learn how to create a digital illustration (cartoon) using the Procreate app and a photo of yourself.  You do not need to have prior experience with Procreate. This class is great for beginners because we'll be going step-by-step through the process starting with importing your photo into the app and ending with a completed illustration!

Day 1
Get familiar with the Procreate app and learn basic functions of the brushes and layers
Import your photo into the app
Start to outline your illustration

At Home:
Finish outlining and filling in the main portions of your illustration that you started in class. Come to class on Day 2 ready to start details.

Day 2
Add details to your illustration to make it come to life
Choose your background
Add optional flourishes or names
Share your finished image with the class (optional)
*If you don't have time to finish your image in class, you can post your masterpiece on our classroom page for your classmates to see.

I will be sharing my iPad screen and drawing along with you. There will be time to ask questions throughout the class. 

You'll be so excited with your new skills that you'll want to start "cartooning" everything! 

*You'll need a iPad with the Procreate app ($10 in the app store) downloaded and installed as well as a stylus or Apple pencil. You'll also need to have a picture of yourself that you'd like to use saved in the photos on your iPad.
