This week-long camp craft class will have kids rifling through the paper recycling bin to create a fun paper project. The participants will learn a bit of science or history related to the paper project and then receive patient step-by-step instructions to make paper projects. Differing abilities will be accommodated as needed. Participants may be expected to work in small independent groups to discuss a topic and/or collaborate on a team project. Participants will: -Learn step-by-step how to complete the project of the day -Learn the science and history behind the projects they work on -Work in small groups as needed
Note: a class-specific supply list and any file attachments will be distributed after registration and before the class begins. General supplies to have on hand for each class: Paper: copy paper(8.5" x 11"), origami paper, and/or paper from recycling bin (flyers, magazines, newspapers, etc.) Card Stock Paper or Recycled greeting cards Pencil or Pen Scissors Ruler Markers Glue: white glue and/or glue stick Tape: masking tape, cellophane tape
Participants may be handling scissors, tape, and glue. If your child needs assistance handling or manipulating these items, please be nearby to assist if needed.
If class-specific source material is required, it will be sent after class registration and prior to the start of the class.
