Students will learn about poetic elements and how popular hip hop/rap artists utilize them in their lyrics. I am friendly, patient, and encouraging. I use humor to keep the students comfortable. The learners will interact with others orally and in the chat box. The learners should bring their love of hip hop/rap. The learners will be able to define and identify poetic elements such as end rhyme, internal rhyme, alliteration, consonance, imagery, metaphor, simile, personification,...
Students will compare and contrast the poetic elements in the lyrics of popular hip-hop/rap artists.
I have been a high school English teacher/ Media Specialist for 20 years. I have a Bachelors in English/Secondary Education, a Masters in Educational Administration, and an endorsement in Library Science. I am a master teacher that teaches other teachers to teach.
