During this on-going workshop learners will learn the elements of how to write a good lyric. We will go over the various components of a song lyric, how to create a successful storyline, tips to get started if you have writer's block, and more. We will analyze song lyrics from some popular songs to see why those lyrics work.

Through a series of writing prompts, learners will have the opportunity to either work by themselves or in breakout rooms with other class participants. 

Learners that are interested in Songwriting are welcome into this class as well. As we are crafting lyrics during class, if you would like to take some of your lyrics you make in class start putting it to music - you are more than welcome to.

Each Class - Learners can bring any lyrics that they have done or are currently working on to show in the class for feedback (learners are not required to show if they do not want to)

Learners will have the opportunity to re-enroll after this 4 Following classes will expand on everything learned so far. New topics and lyric
strategies will be introduced and other songs from different artists will be analyzed.
