Your plane has to make an emergency landing. You look out the window and all you see is snow. What was supposed to be a fun and sunny vacation has turned into a wintery quest for survival. Can you survive the dangers of the snow? Can you make it back home? Are you up for the challenge? A STEM journal will be provided for each day of class. It will need to be printed and brought to class along with a pencil. Additional materials for each day are listed below: Lesson 1: Materials needed: various-sized marshmallows, plastic cup, paper bowl, toilet paper tube, scissors, masking tape, cotton balls, ruler Lesson 2: Materials needed: empty egg carton, scissors, masking tape, popsicle sticks, straws, aluminum foil Lesson 3: Materials needed: scissors, masking tape, string, ruler, index cards, straws, popsicle sticks, pipe cleaners, 10 pennies Lesson 4: Materials needed: mini-marshmallows, plastic spoons, rubber bands, masking tape, scissors, ruler, plastic cups Lesson 5: Materials Needed: paper towel rolls, toilet paper rolls, plastic straws, masking tape, 1 paper bowl, aluminum foil, scissors
