**This class is also offered in a camp format and a 4-week format. In this 2-week class, students will learn how to loom knit a hat. Some skills we will cover are making a slip knot, casting-on, e-wraps (knit stitch), making a brim, casting-off and closing the hat. To complete this class, students will need 1 skein bulky yarn (# 5, at least a 100g) or 2 balls (you can get one skein and divide it in half) of worsted weight yarn (#4). Students will also need scissors, a yarn needle, hook and loom. These items are all available at your local craft stores and Amazon.
We will be using scissors in this class. Please make sure your child knows how to safely use and store the scissors.
