現場夏季拼字訓練營與受過誦讀困難訓練的老師：5 個生活規則！

In this ongoing class, students will learn the Floss Rule, Changing Rule, Dropping Rule, Doubling Rule, and the Rabbit Rule which will help them confidently spell in their everyday writing life. Class will meet once a week with an optional assignment for your child to complete during the week to reinforce the spelling rule learned.  

 Students who learn these rules greatly increse their odds of spelling words correctly in their writing.  Each lesson will focus on one spelling rule and provide ample opportunities for practice by breaking down the pattern, practice spelling, and playing  games to reinforce the learned spelling rule.  My dyslexia specialist training, which is Orton-Gillingham based, is not only beneficial for dyslexic students but for any struggling reader or speller. My main goal is for each student to leave feeling more confident in their spelling!  I've witnessed time and time again that the more confident a child becomes, the faster spelling growth occurs. (Cookie the Pug dog will also make regular appearances!).   

***Please notice that the five rules will be learned the first five weeks and then the topic will repeat. You can decide as a parent whether your child has mastered the spelling rules or whether  you'd like them to continue the  course for additional practice. In my experience, it generally takes revisiting the rules multiple times for the students to truly commit them to memory.
