Beginner - Intermediate 等級
Students will learn to draw a castle using basic shapes, and then add their own unique details and colors! Session 1: We will discuss what castles traditionally looked like and what they were made of, looking at basic shapes and colors. We will practice using lines and shapes to draw a castle, then determine what colors we want, and color our practice drawings with crayonhs. If time permits, we will begin our final copy. 2 lessons//2 Weeks
Week 1Lesson 1Introduction to Castles; Starting the ArtStudents will practice drawing a traditional European style castle using simple lines and shapes. The teacher will demonstrate different ideas for added details that students can try, or use as a springboard for their own ideas. The video will end with the outlining of the final copy drawing with a Sharpie.Week 2Lesson 2Finishing the ArtThe teacher will demonstrate coloring techniques on the final copy castle using colored pencil, crayon, and/or watercolor techniques.
Students will learn the concept of architecture, and how to build upon a simple design using shapes and patterns.
As a veteran art teacher, I have successfully developed methods for helping children break down seemingly complicated drawing tasks into simple steps for successful drawing. Castles are so much fun to draw because they allow for a lot of imagination to take place!
paper to practice on (printer paper or a cheap newsprint tablet) Pencils, eraser, pencil sharpener Crayons Good quality paper, such as watercolor or Bristol Board (tablets of these can be purchased at Walmart or Michaels). Watercolor pan set (Crayola, Prang or Sargent are good quality--stay away from Crazy Art or cheap brands!
