I am happy to provide this 6-meeting multi-day class (one of three I'm offering) to help students build their algebraic foundation in a fun, engaging way! Instruction will be delivered via power point demonstrations, which will include instruction/notes and games/activities to further motivate and support learners! I will be able to assess progress through our live interaction in class. Students will be encouraged to participate during the lesson either using their microphones, chat box...
In this course, students will: -use inverse operations to solve one-step, two-step, and multi-step equations and inequalities -learn a variety of methods for solving a system of linear equations -add, subtract, and multiply polynomials -use the Greatest Common Factor and FOIL to factor trinomials
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics as well as a Master's Degree in Education. With 20 years of experience teaching in the classroom coupled with 5 years of experience teaching online to students with varying abilities and needs, I feel extremely qualified to deliver this instruction to learners via Outschool. I love Algebra and how it sharpens the mind. I want students to enjoy mathematics on every level and my approach to this class has the ability to turn students into lifelong lovers of the subject!

Students should have a three-ring binder in order to keep track of assignments and notes from each session. A calculator and graph paper would be nice items to have, however, when possible, I will suggest websites that may have the tools that a learner may need (example: online calculators).
