Class Description for One-on-One Review Sessions: Reignite your child's passion for literacy with our personalized one-on-one review sessions. Designed for students who have completed our initial 40-week program, these sessions offer a tailored review to reinforce and expand upon the literacy skills previously acquired. We revisit foundational concepts, delve deeper into complex literacy strategies, and inspire continued love and appreciation for reading and writing. Each session is crafted as a unique journey, revisiting areas such as phonemic awareness, phonics, advanced comprehension, and creative writing, all paced to match your child's comfort and growth. Review Session Experience: Our review sessions are an extension of our original dynamic and interactive learning approach, adapted for reinforcement and further exploration. Here's the structure: Weeks 1-8: Refresh on phonemic awareness and phonics, reinforcing the building blocks of reading with engaging activities. Weeks 8-16: Revisit complex phonics patterns and spelling strategies, ensuring a solid grasp on syllable types and phonetic rules. Weeks 16-24: Focus on fluency and vocabulary enrichment, utilizing diverse texts to deepen linguistic understanding. Weeks 24-32: Enhance decoding skills and language intricacies, reviewing concepts like silent letters and unique sound patterns. Weeks 32-40: Expand on comprehension and creative writing, encouraging expressive and critical thinking skills. These review sessions are tailored to the individual, focusing on hands-on activities, personalized discussions, and targeted practice, incorporating multimedia aids, storytelling, and interactive games to support your child's unique learning style. Interaction and Feedback: In these review sessions, personal attention remains paramount, with each session designed to recognize and celebrate progress, reinforcing achievements and addressing areas for further development. Class Evaluation and Policies: Homework Policy: We will suggest revisiting and practicing skills through enjoyable reading and writing tasks, with opportunities for feedback and personalized guidance. Grading Policy: Reflecting our commitment to learning and improvement, we do not use traditional grading. Completion of these review sessions will be acknowledged with a special certificate, marking your child's dedication and achievements in literacy.
