In this beginning coding class, students will learn to solve various puzzles and directional puzzles using Tynker Junior. First, students will have a chance to share something with the class and introduce themselves. They will then learn to solve each “Ocean Odyssey” puzzle to work our way through the level with guidance from the teacher and build their confidence in their digital puzzle solving skills! Students will practice using their analytical skills to help their character move through many puzzles on the Tynker Jr. app. (Free app download on iOS devices only). In “Ocean Odyssey,” kids design their own aquarium with sea creatures, props, and music as they learn sequencing, pattern recognition, and critical thinking. Students will need to have access to the Tynker Junior app on a second device for this class. This level uses icon coding (great for pre-readers). Perfect beginning coding class for your pre-schooler!
