During this class we will write comic books together. Each class students will learn about features of a comic book. Students will learn to use a book making site as we write our books. We will use Book Creator. Learners can visit the website or download the Book Creator app. Please note this website is COPPA compliant and appropriate for children under the age of 13. We will use a mentor text as examples to help us write each class. -Learn to write your own comic books -We will work with an interactive website to create books online. They can also be printed! -Does your child love to write? Is writing like pulling teeth? This class will get them excited about writing and telling stories! -Write your own stories after class using our free site. -If you'd like to share, you will have an an opportunity to share your comic stories during the following class. Week of November 20: Characters & Speech Bubbles Week of November 27: Story Settings & Problems Week of December 4: Sound Effects Week of December 11: Story Ending & Editing
