In this one time class, we will explore the world of pumpkins. The children will learn how a pumpkin grows from seed to pumpkin through discussions and pictures. Did you know that pumpkins are not just orange? We will talk about the different colors in class. We will also have a fun discussion about what we can make to eat from pumpkins. The children will have many opportunities to socialize and express their opinions with their peers throughout the class. At the end of class, I will tell a short story with a surprise ending!

I have been teaching for the last 27 years in a variety of settings. I have worked with children 3 to 12 years of age. I have created curriculum for 3-6 year old's, tutored, been a nanny, an assistant director, assistant teacher for early learners in the school district, and taught English (ESL) online. I have a BA in Early Childhood Education and a BA in Psychology. I love to find creative ways for children to learn and have fun! I believe children learn best through a variety of means including: repetition, writing, movement, creativity, socialization, fun, and a positive attitude. If I do not know the answer to a child's question, I will research it and let them know. Knowledge is a powerful tool that can create a spark for future learning and life adventures.
