課堂經歷
In this class, students will be connected to a French Immersion teacher to practice French conversational skills. They will be guided through a variety of discussion prompts to encourage speaking in French and responding in full sentences. What to expect from this class: - Encouraging full sentences as opposed to one word answers. - review of basic, common phrases in French - vocabulary development through thematic discussions - various games via BOOM learning, props and visuals to encourage discussion This is a great way to keep up your French skills and gain confidence in speaking French in a group setting. This is not a private tutoring class. There will be no materials given for students to practice in between sessions. However each class will involve an activity that they are encouraged to work on post class. 🎧 Headphones are recommended for this class. Using headphones enhances language learning online. It will help the student hear my pronunciation more clearly which will help your child repeat more accurately. 🎧

Students will improve their confidence in speaking French in a group setting. Students will learn new vocabulary.

Hello! My name is Anna Maria Marando and I have been a Kindergarten French Immersion teacher in B.C, Canada for the past 10 years! I am excited to be teaching French in this virtual platform.
Some of the classes I offer:
- Sing and Play with French Circle Time: A thematic approach to learning French vocabulary
- Private tutoring for grades K-1 French Immersion (can be ongoing based on students needs)
- Various seasonal classes such as Winter Animals, Easter, Food, Insects, Halloween, Christmas, Zoo, my Body...and more added regularly!
Teaching Philosophy:
I love teaching French through songs and play-based experiences! My philosophy behind teaching is to make my virtual classes fun, playful and engaging all while learning a new language! When learning a new language, music is the best way to retain vocabulary. The catchy melodies and repetitive language help children learn quickly, all while having fun! I believe its important when learning a new language that children speak as much as possible! So my classes involve a lot of interaction!
Background:
In 2020, I discovered that there was a need for more French options for young children, especially in a virtual setting. I started teaching a French Circle Time class via ZOOM and LOVED the experience! So I decided to pursue this new path which has brought me to Outschool!
About Me:
I am tri-lingual myself. I grew up speaking Italian and English and learned French in school. When I am not teaching, I am usually with my 3 daughters or cooking something in the kitchen! I can’t wait to meet you all!
