In this fun and active class, learners will sing songs about feelings (happy, sad, angry, silly, excited) as we explore music and singing fundamentals. We will begin each class by reviewing proper posture and prepare to sing with stretches and breathing exercises. We will do some fun vocalizing techniques which help warm up our voices. Learners will learn how to find and develop their singing voices. We will also explore rhythm. There is a lot of movement and active learning in this fun, fast-paced music class! Learners will learn to engage their body, breath, and voice to become confident singers. They will learn how to tap rhythms using the Kodaly method. They will also learn to sing and sign the 8-note Solfege scale.
