The primary goal is to establish a love of music and to build self-confidence through the mastery of performance pieces and knowledge of musical theory. Students will be playing simple songs starting from lesson one. Specific benchmarks for the first several lessons include; anatomy of the piano, proper posture and curvature of the hand, reading music notation, and developing technique and familiarity with the piano by learning and practicing scales and arpeggios. 

I have been teaching piano, both in-person and online, for more than a decade. I have taught kindergarten through fifth grade music for a private school in Florida for the past 8 years. I also teach ukulele, recorder, and drums. I performed for many years with Blue Man Group in their New York, Chicago, Orlando, and Las Vegas shows.  

Piano Pronto lesson and theory books. Level to be assessed in first lesson, digital files provided until books are acquired. Approx. $9.00 per book. Optional play-along MP3 tracks are available for an addition
