課堂經歷
This class is learner-directed weekly. This game is the same as Hangman, with a slight twist. Instead of a person being drawn, a party cracker will be drawn. Every meeting will be the same; we'll be playing the game. Students can come and go at any time. How to play: 1. Whoever is going ("host") will think of a word that's New Year-related. They will draw a small line for each letter in that word, so everyone knows how many letters are needed. 2. Everyone will go in order (assigned by the teacher) and guess a letter that they think is in the word, or guess the word if they think they know what it is. - If the word they said is incorrect, they must guess a letter instead. - If the letter is not in the word, the "host" will cross out the letter and draw a part of the party cracker on the board. - If the letter is in the word, the "host" will cross out the letter and write the letter where it belongs [on the line(s)] in the word. 3. The game will continue in the assigned order until the word is guessed or the party cracker is entirely drawn. Winner: There is no "winner." All students work together to figure out the word and the "host" gets the opportunity to think of a tricky New Year-related word and make a party cracker.
學習目標
Students may learn new New Year words and increase their vocabulary.
其他詳情
父母的引導和規範
The Hangman game is of a person being hung, hence the person being drawn due to guessing a wrong letter. This game does not include anything or anyone being hung. The party cracker will be drawn on a board; on the screen. The background is a lovely New Year firework background. If you'd like to see the template I'll be using for class; please message me (whether you've enrolled your child yet or not).
This is a non-religious class. Please make sure you speak with your child before class about keeping all New Year-related words non-religious.

My name is Cassie. I host a variety of Minecraft classes.
A bit about myself: I have a bachelor's degree in English and Literature (May, 2023). I also have a 150-hour TEFL/TESOL certificate. I have the most experience teaching children, 4 to 11 years old, how to draw, play Minecraft, and learn American Sign Language (ASL).
I love Minecraft. I started playing Minecraft since I was a child. It has been a part of my life for roughly 10 years now. I think Minecraft is a wonderful addition to life as you get to relax, but also challenge yourself if you'd like. It's a wonderful game to develop skills such as patience, survival instincts, teamwork, and creativity.
Interesting facts about me: I'm 21 years old. I'm the eldest of two siblings of which one of them, and my mother, work on this platform. I have a cat named Leo who is a rescue cat with Feline leukemia (FeLV). I was homeschooled from 12-15 years old (at least 5 years before the pandemic happened). I started college at 16. My interests (for careers) consist of piloting (only 15/16 flight hours so far - currently not flying), cybersecurity, and UX Design.
