In this ongoing course students will look at homophones and near homophones. In each class we will look at 2-3 different sets, discuss what each word means and it's spelling. We will identify mistakes made in sentences and write our own sentences using these homophones. In each class both pictures and slides will be used to aid learning. Week beginning 5th September: one, won, piece, peace, plane, plain Week beginning 12th September: not, knot, quite, quiet, berry, bury Week beginning 19th...
Students will learn what 'homophone' means, how to define each word and practise using them in sentences.
Paper and pencil or whiteboard and marker for the children to write and show their work.
