In this insect club, learners will discover an incredible insect each week. We will discover its habitat, some amazing facts and learn about science, geography and amazing animals. Classes will include a range of activities including quizzes, worksheets, Q&A, presentations, videos and much more! Learners will develop their own Animal Factfile each week on the animal they learn about. Duration of each class is 30 minutes and is an ongoing class. Week of 6/1/2025 - Sparklemuffin Week of 13/1/25 - Snail Zombies Week of 20/1/25 - Monarch Butterflies Week of 27/1/25 - Jumping Spider Week of 3/2/25 - Daddy Longlegs Week of 10/2/25 - Acacia Ants Week of 17/2/25 - Angel Bees Week of 24/2/25 - Leafcutter Ants Week of 3/3/25 - Plumed Worm Week of 10/3/2025 - Harlequin Beetle Week of 17/3/2025 - Mosquitoes Week of 24/3/2025 - Glow in the Dark Millipedes Week of 31/3/2025 - Dung Beetles Week of 7/4/2025 - Praying Mantis Week of 14/4/2025 - Titan Stag Beetle Week of 21/4/2025 - Japanese Giant Hornet Week of 28/4/2025 - Moth Week of 5/5/2025 - Ladybug Week of 12/5/2025 - Scorpion Week of 19/5/2025 - The Invasive Stinkbug Week of 26/5/2025 - Fire Ants Week of 2/6/2025 - The World's Largest Spider Further classes will be added. The class will be interactive and supportive to cater to learners of different learning styles. We are a team of experienced teachers who are calm, patient and supportive whilst ensuring that the children are constantly learning. The environment will be dynamic and learners will actively participate throughout the class. As an experienced teacher, I am capable of adapting my style to suit the learners. Please do message us with any additional needs the students may have such as difficulties with Communication and interaction; Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN); difficulties with Cognition and learning; Social, emotional and mental health difficulties; Sensory and/or physical needs.
