This fun introduction of the basic course will introduce a new topic each week. It is build around the immersion concept and will build on basic communication skills. Students should be able to introduce themselves with 10 sentences. Hello, My name is Claudia Richardson. I will be teaching German Classes for students ages 8-18 on outschool. I am a certified German Teacher (K-12) in the state of Texas and a native speaker. I believe in semi-total immersion, which means as the course progresses the instructional language becomes more an more German. I love sharing the gift of language with children and believe that a language acquisition course must be both interactive and engaging. Students will have a variety of speaking opportunities in my class, to not only improve conversational abilities, but to also boost self-confidence. I grew up in the former East Germany close to the city of Dresden. I am currently finishing my M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction.
