In this ongoing program, learners will develop their maths skills. 

This course contains a greater focus on the use of manipulatives in the classroom, pictorial and abstract representations to promote deeper learning, language support to help EAL students develop fluency in mathematical language.

Week of 1/4/24 - Introduction to Robotics and Mathematical Foundations - robotics and its applications in various fields
Week of 8/4/24 - Introduction to Robotics and Mathematical Foundations - mathematical concepts essential for robotics, including geometry, algebra, and trigonometry
Week of 15/4/24 - Introduction to Robotics and Mathematical Foundations - Hands-on activity: Building a simple robot using kits and discussing the mathematical principles involved in its design and movement
Week of 22/4/24 - Coordinate Systems and Transformations - Cartesian and polar coordinate systems
Week of 29/4/24 - Coordinate Systems and Transformations - transformations such as translation, rotation, and scaling
Week of 6/5/24 - Coordinate Systems and Transformations - Robot movement simulation: Programming a virtual robot to navigate through different coordinate systems 
Week of 13/5/24 - Kinematics and Motion Planning - kinematic concepts, including velocity, acceleration, and trajectory planning
Week of 20/5/24 - Kinematics and Motion Planning - forward and inverse kinematics in robot motion
Week of 27/5/24 - Kinematics and Motion Planning - Kinematic analysis activity: Calculating joint angles for a robotic arm to reach a desired position
Week of 3/6/24 - Sensors and Perception - sensors used in robotics, including proximity sensors, cameras, and LIDAR
Week of 10/6/24 - Sensors and Perception - signal processing and data interpretation techniques
Week of 17/6/24 - Sensors and Perception - Sensor integration project: Building a robot that uses sensors to navigate and interact with its environment
Week of 24/6/24 - Control Systems and PID Controllers - control theory and feedback loops in robotics
Week of 1/7/24 - Control Systems and PID Controllers - PID controllers and their applications in robot control
Week of 8/7/24 - Control Systems and PID Controllers - PID tuning activity: Experimenting with PID controller parameters to achieve desired robot behavior
Week of 15/7/24 - Path Planning and Navigation - path planning algorithms, including A* search and Dijkstra's algorithm
Week of 22/7/24 - Path Planning and Navigation - obstacle avoidance and collision detection techniques
Week of 29/7/24 - Path Planning and Navigation - Path planning simulation: Programming a robot to navigate through a maze using path planning algorithms
Week of 5/8/24 - Localization and Mapping - localization methods such as odometry, GPS, and SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping)
Week of 12/8/24 -  Localization and Mapping - map representation and updating algorithms
Week of 19/8/24 -  Localization and Mapping - Localization and mapping project: Building a robot that can accurately localize itself and create a map of its environment
Week of 26/8/24 - Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence - machine learning and AI techniques used in robotics
Week of 2/9/24 - Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence - neural networks, reinforcement learning, and computer vision
Week of 9/9/24 - Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence - Machine learning application project: Training a robot to perform a specific task using machine learning algorithms
Week of 16/9/24 - Robotic Manipulation and Grasping - robotic manipulation techniques, including kinematic chains and end-effector design  
Week of 23/9/24 - Robotic Manipulation and Grasping - grasp planning and force control in robotic grasping  
Week of 30/9/24 - Robotic Manipulation and Grasping - Robotic manipulation challenge: Designing a robotic arm capable of picking and placing objects with precision
Week of 7/10/24 - Advanced Topics and Applications - swarm robotics, bio-inspired robotics, and human-robot interaction
Week of 14/10/24 - Advanced Topics and Applications - robotics applications in various industries, including healthcare, manufacturing, and space exploration
Week of 21/10/24 - Advanced Topics and Applications - Designing and building a comprehensive robotics system that integrates mathematical concepts learned throughout the course
