Hello families! Are you ready for a fun and exciting way to learn English for your child? Join me for a one on one English class that is specifically designed for you! Please reach out 24 hours before class with any goals you have for our time together. In these private tutoring sessions, I will help your child learn basic English vocabulary and other skills, while practicing conversational English. Please let me know how I can best assist your child, and I will craft lessons that focus on their greatest areas of need. We will also play games to help with listening skills, answering questions, and identifying different items. Each week, we will explore a new fun topic where students will have the opportunity to learn new vocabulary words, practice their phonics, and practice using full sentences! As learners progress, we will practice sight words, reading, comprehension, and grammar. Listed below are just some of the many conversations we will have: -Simple greetings and responses -All About Me -Colors -Animals -My Body and Feelings -Food -School -Toys -Family -Letters -Numbers -Shapes -Conversation skills -Calendar: days of the week, months, weather, seasons, holidays Please feel free to send me a message and we can design a plan based on your learner's level and needs. We can have an on-going conversation about topics that are of interest to your learner for example: books, movies, games, transportation, weather, landforms, science, sports, hunting, math, dinosaurs, animals, pets, career options, etc. I have many resources to support your learner in class as well as provide additional practice outside of class. During the lessons, I will utilize pictures, slides, google translate, and the chat box to help support the learner's comprehension. I look forward to meeting your learner and building on his or her English skills! I absolutely LOVE meeting, working with, getting to know, supporting, engaging, and inspiring English language learners from all around the world! I have a Bachelor's and Master's in Education as well as my TEFL and TESOL certifications. I taught online ESL since 2019. I love meeting new learners and helping them reach their goals in education. Hello! I am Kristen Galloway. I am a curious life long learner, and I want to share my love of learning with others! I am passionate about making learning fun, engaging, and relevant. I want to meet each child where they are developmentally and be a part of their journey of discovery. With a background in general education, I love to teach lessons that incorporate reading, writing, math, science, social studies. Learners should feel comfortable and welcome in the classroom. I think it is important to make learning a personal experience for each learner. I encourage each student to share their thinking. I work create a space where learners feel comfortable to learn. In order for every child to flourish they need to be seen, heard, and loved.
I believe in building relationships with my students and making learning engaging and connected to their lives. I use a multi-sensory approach to learning. I incorporate multiple domains throughout my lessons. I love to have fun in the classroom through conversations, games, and hands-on learning.
I have a Bachelor's of Science and a Master of Arts in Education. I have my TEFL and TESOL certifications. For the past 14 years, I have taught every grade from PreK-4th grade, sponsored a 3rd-5th grade STREAM club and a K-5 book club. I have also taught English online since 2019.
I have a 21 year old daughter, a 7 year old son, 2 dogs, 2 cats, and an axolotl. In my spare time, I love to read, play card and board games, hike, and watch movies. We love to travel and explore, and enjoy the journey as much as the destination!評論
