In this engaging lesson students will learn how they and the world around them are influenced both physically and emotionally by the feelings conjured up from words that appeal to our senses. We will examine a variety of sensory words and how they elicit feelings within us that affect our emotions and even influence our buying decisions. Students will learn about the power of words in advertising and in our writing. This class will be held in an interactive group discussion setting where students will participate with their peers as they learn together.

Hello! I’m Teacher Sheila.
I’ve been teaching both children and adults for over 20 years.
I have a Bachelors Degree in education, I’m TESOL certified and I’m homeschool certified as well.
I am currently teaching English online to children in China. I also offer classes in Common Core subjects Online in the US as well.
I have home schooled all five of my children, 4 have graduated 12th grade and I’m currently working with my last kid who will be starting High School this year.
I am so very passionate about teaching that I even spend much of my free time in volunteer work teaching others. My goal is to instill in my students a lifelong love of learning.
In fact I believe in learning so much that I am always involved continuing education myself, whether it be in foreign language, improving my teaching techniques and even weekly public speaking classes.
I believe I have a LOT to bring to the classroom and I’m EXCITED to begin on this journey in learning with you! I hope to see YOU in my classroom soon!
