Welcome! During your child's classes, your child will work on key math skills going into Grade 1 through a variety of activities (e.g. slides, games, discussion). We will also work on nurturing confidence and motivation toward their skills. We will be covering the following Grade 1 outcomes (from Common Core curriculum): *addition/subtraction within 20 (numeric and word problems) *ways to show 10, 15, and 20 (e.g. for 10: 6 +4 , 7 + 3) *counting to 100 and then to 120 *tens and ones place value for numbers up to 99 *comparing two, 1-digit and then two, 2-digit numbers After our two classes, your child will receive a certificate of completion. As parents/guardians, you will receive recommendations and steps for continuing to grow your child's numeracy skills.
