In this class learners will create a vortex drawing! This is a hands on class where students will be creating the project as I demonstrate. No prior knowledge is needed. This drawing class is great for beginners! Students have the choice to draw the artwork completely themselves or if parents think the learner will struggle with line drawing, there is worksheet attached students can print and use. Students will learn about the Element of Art: Value. I will show students how to create value in colored pencils to give the illusion of volume.

I have taught high school art for 18 years! Last year I had the opportunity to teach middle school students remotely and loved it! I have taught a variety of courses over my career such as: Fine Arts 1 & 2, Introduction to Photography, Pottery 1 & 2, Introduction to Jewelry, Introduction to Crafts, Introduction to Sculpture, Design 1 & 2.
I believe creating art is a process. It takes making a mess, mistakes and trying again! Creating art is a method of communication with the world!
