課堂經歷
** Please note: This class requires basic and some moderate crochet experience. What is amigurumi? It is a Japanese word for knit or crocheted animals or dolls. We will become very familiar with amigurumi as we work on this chicken. Along with the chicken, you will also learn how to read a basic crochet patterns. With the use of my document camera, I will create an "unlisted" YouTube video of each steps needed to make this cute chicken. Every Tuesday morning, I will upload the new video to the classroom wall. You will have the week to watch it and work on the assigned steps. Your work for that week will be due the following week- this is for the purpose of helping with any issues or challenges you are having. If the work is not "handed" in the following week, that is totally fine. As long as you have the completed project handed in by the end of the course. Also be sure to reach out if you have ANY questions about the project. I am more than happy to help through email or a recorded video. Week by week Breakdown: Week 1: We will go over and talk about the chicken pattern. This is important, as we will be using it each time we work on the chicken. We will also go over to to make a magic circle and single crochet. I have an extra video for you if you are unsure of how to make these two stitches. If you are confident with it, then you can move on to the next video for this week-beginning the chicken. Row 1-19. Week 2: We will continue working on the chicken body and reading our pattern. We will start by making a chain and then move along to work on Row 20-36. Week 3: This week, we will be finishing up the body of the chicken Row 37-47 Week 4: We will finish up any last minute stitches for the chicken body, and begin working on the wings of our bird. Week 5: We'll start the beak, comb, and tail feathers Week 6: After completing the extras (beak, comb, tail), we will sew them into place on our chicken. This is also a great time to finish up any last minute things for your chicken. We will be making this all within 6 weeks. There will be a lot of work in the beginning, but there will be time each week to catch if needed. Also, reach out to me if you need extra time or any help. Again, you will have from Tuesday morning to Monday evening to finish up any steps from that week. Hopefully, that is a enough time, but I completely understand if you need any extra time.

學士學位 在 藝術與設計 從 Massachusetts College of Art and Design
Hi there! My name is Tessa DeForge. I live in the beautiful state of Vermont with my husband, 2 silly dogs and 2 precocious cats. I graduated from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2011 and hold a bachelor's in Art Education.
I am very passionate about education. I have taught in a traditional setting for 10 years as a 6-12 art teacher and as an early educator. I love to teach a multitude of things through art and play. Some of the classes I offer are: Art Social Group, Crochet Club, 1;1 Knitting and Crochet classes, as well as social groups, to name a few. I am always looking to expand on my class list. The skies the limit when it comes to art and I hope to have some more exciting classes up and running in the very near future.
